Our Mission

Taking part in the evolution of economies of Eastern and Southeast Europe is a historical chance and challenge for everybody holding a stake in these markets. Having joined the EU in 2004 (ten countries) or 2007 (Romania and Bulgaria), the most recent member states of the European Union are already focusing on the globalization of their markets and companies whereas first preliminary steps are taken in the countries of the Balkans to be future EU members.

WIESER CONSULT ROMANIA is on the side of those whose desire, need and purpose, accompanied by the courage to adapt and conform to a dynamic market characterized by fierce competition and by new standards that need to be implemented drive them to be the very forts in their respective domains.

Evolution

WIESER CONSULT was founded in 1997 in Austria and has since been turning into an established consulting company for the industries as well as chambers and institutions in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. The core competencies are EU consulting, market analysis and country profiles, consulting services on export and marketing, mergers and acquisitions as well as, on an increasing scale, project development.

In the year 2000 WIESER CONSULT has joined the AUSTRIAN AGRICULTURAL CLUSTER (www.aac.or.at) and has since been acting as executive member of this cluster, founded by the Austrian federal Government and the Austrian Chamber of Economics.

Who we are

Due to the fact that Romania is lately one of the most attractive destinations for investments in all activity sectors, in 2004, WIESER CONSULT ROMANIA (www.wieserconsult.ro) was founded with headquarters in Bucharest and subsidiaries in Timisoara and Cluj-Napoca.

The WIESER CONSULT ROMANIA team is young, dynamic, integrating professionals with extensive experience and sound expertise, focused particularly on the programs EU and international finances, as well as technical aspects thereof.

In order to provide consulting services as complete as possible, WIESER CONSULT ROMANIA is permanently striving to extend its competencies, by involving experts from various domains and enlarging the own team.

Portfolio

In the past WIESER CONSULT ROMANIA has focused its activity mainly on investments through the SAPARD Program, an EU program for agriculture, food industry and rural development.

Today, beside the realised SAPARD projects, WIESER CONSULT ROMANIA portfolio includes projects and consulting contracts for private and public beneficiaries, projects to be financed though structural funds (EFARD, SOP-IEC, ROP etc.) having an estimative cumulated investment value around 275 million Euro.

The projects aims investments of public beneficiaries - infrastructure for rural area and projects for urban regeneration - as well made by private investors - in the fields of agriculture production, farming, food processing industry, industrial manufacturing and processing industry, constructions, wood and furniture, renewable energy, logistics and other goods production. Public beneficiaries - rural infrastructure projects and urban regeneration projects - are also assisted and provided with consulting services by WIESER CONSULT ROMANIA.

Besides the projects above mentioned, WIESER CONSULT have a contractual exclusivity partnership with Alpine Energie (part of the FCC group, having over 100.000 employees) for the development of green energy projects in Romania.

Due to an excellent cooperation, we are now involved in few projects aiming the production and usage of renewable energy, proudly mentioning here few of them:

• wind energy project / contract for an investment of around 60 million EURO, in Moldova area
  
• ongoing project for biomass burning plant of about 25 MW electrical power output, integrated with drying and pelleting installation for alfalfa, having an investment value of about 70 million EURO
  
• ongoing project for biomass burning plant (wood waste) of about 7 MW electrical power output integrated with wood drying installations, having an investment value of about 25 million EURO

The future

Starting with 2007, WIESER CONSULT ROMANIA is able to provide integrated consulting services for the Operational Programs active for Romania after the EU accession.

Our strategy includes the widening of the portfolio and the availability of consulting services for more areas and domains, such as continuing the development of the vocational training and technical assistance activities. However the core competencies and activities will remain focused on consulting services for investment projects.

WIESER CONSULT ROMANIA is an accredited consultant by several important Romanian banks and has ISO 9001 certification.

WIESER CONSULT ROMANIA is a full member of ACRAFE (Romanian Consultants Association for Access the EU Funds) and actively contributes to the professionalization of consultancy sector in Romania.
