Technological concept of using AGROPOWER Green Energy Srl biomass plants is based on using agricultural residues as fuel for energy production thus contributing to reduce the CO2 emissions. The most important fact to note is that, compared with biogas technology, which uses as its main raw material corn silage, agricultural residues do not compete with human food and animal feed. Generally straw and other residues are still not used so extensively and, in many cases, they are burned in the field.
